BIO

Louisa was brought up in Somerset but lived in London for many years.  She is now based in Salisbury where she enjoys painting the landscapes in and around the city.  Louisa is predominantly a watercolour artist, although she also uses acrylic and pastel.

Very much an outdoor artist, she likes watercolour because of its subtlety for her landscapes which she often paints directly on site.  For her bird paintings she spends many hours sketching chickens and waterfowl from life to use later in her paintings.  

Inspiration for many of her paintings comes from the landscapes and animals of her local area.  Local landmarks such as Salisbury Cathedral often feature in her paintings.

MY ART

I exhibit my work on the internet and in exhibitions in and around Salisbury.  Among the numerous exhibitions I have taken part in are the Chelsea Art Society Open exhibition where I have sold work.  

I have taken part in several solo exhibitions and had some of my paintings published in art magazines.  I am a member of Salisbury Group of Artists and Plain Arts, Salisbury.   

I also enjoy meeting and talking to people at the Salisbury Arts Scene open air exhibitions where I regularly exhibit original paintings and greetings cards.
