MY ART
I have a particular focus on a tough yet free approach to drawing when capturing the elements upon Salisbury Plain. My Salisbury Sketchbook, which travels everywhere with me, is an ongoing visual record of the city.
My en plein air painting practice revolves around immediate gouache sketches to affirm my viewpoint. My oil paintings explore exuberant textures and tones to depict the ever-changing light and weather conditions encountered outside throughout the seasons.
Aviation commissions take up my time back in the studio, combining academic research with investigative drawings created during my visits to museums and aviation events.
