OUTSIDE ARTS EVENTS

ABOUT YOU
To take part in our arts events you must be an independent professional or amateur artist or maker working full-time or part-time producing original artwork.
Artists and makers of all ages are welcome to join us and we provide helpful guidelines for those new to exhibiting outside and selling their products.

INVITES
Each month artists, makers and art groups are invited to take part in our outdoor events, scheduled to take place each year March to December.
Book monthly Book and pay monthly on receipt of invite.
Book 9 Option Book 9 events - March to November and get 10% off!
Pitch position choice guaranteed. Available for Singe Pitch bookings only.
December event Invite only - due to limited space and gazebos.
TERMS
Payments are non-refundable if you choose not to take your pitch.
Artist's Public Liabiltiy Insurance must be kept in date to cover booked event/s.

PITCH FEES
Single Pitch - £60 Sharing Pitch - £80 (max 2 - £40 each) Group/Club Pitch - £60 (max 4 sharing)
Students & Graduates - £20 discount for students/schools and those who have garduated within the last year, exhibiting for the first time

NO commission fee on sales is taken.
Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own tables and display stands. Help and advice is available.
Fitted black tablecloth are provided to create a smart, uniform base for all displays.
Sharing pitches are available to allow new artists an opportunity to trial exhibiting before committing to a single pitch.
If you would prefer this option many of our artists are happy to share and we will discuss this with you before confirming your booking.
All displays must be ready by 9.45am and kept clean and tidy to best showcase the artwork and maximise the potential for sales.
All cars must be removed from the Market Square by 9.30am. Cars can only return onto the square after 4pm.
When driving on and off the market place, all cars must stick to 5mph with hazard lights on.
Details for your event listing will be requested and added to the Exhibitors page of the website in the run up to each event. This information will be used to promote new and regular exhibitors each month via our social media pages.
NB: Salisbury Arts Scene reserves the right to edit or make any changes to promotional information provided if considered necessary for clarity, brevity or to correct errors.
UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER FORECASTS
The weather in the UK can be very unpredictable and often not how it has been forecast on the various platforms.
Therefore the procedure with regards the forecast of unsuitable and/or unpredictable weather conditions will be as follows:
PROCEDURE
The day before an event - Email to exhibitors to warn of unsuitable weather condition forecast.
The day of the event - Gazebos will be set-up by the council staff as arranged.
Exhibitors to make their own decision as to whether to take part or not.
EVENT FEES - Normal fees apply - no refunds given.
CANCELLATIONS
HAZARDOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS
In the event of a Salisbury City Council decision to cancel an event due to hazardous weather conditions the pre-paid hire fee of the Market Squre will be refunded.
The refunded hire fee will be divided between the number of gazebos booked for the event and returned to exhibitors.
Exhibitors who share a pitch will each receive half the divided amount.
Hazardous Weather Conditions: High winds and freezing icy conditions.
EXHIBITOR CANCELLATIONS
Exhibitor cancellations made after the commencement of the events marketing and one week before the event date will receive a 75% refund.
Exhibitor cancellations made within one week prior to the event date, and up to two days before, will not be entitled to a refund, unless another suitable exhibitor can be found to replace them. A 50% refund will then be given.
Exhibitor cancellations made within the two days before and on the day of the event, will not be entitled to a refund.
Refunded fees will be returned via BACs transfer.

A PDF copy of the T's & C's is sent out to all new exhibitors to agree and sign before exhibiting for the first time.

As we know one set of guidelines is hard to 'fit all' and therefore we will be on hand to help in the lead up and throughout each event.

We hope you will come up with a few of your own ingenious display ideas and look forward to seeing your creations.
