BIO
Wendy Klein recently returned to the UK from her home in Canada, where she created a large following for her creative and humorous art. Before this she attended art college in Southern California where she obtained her Illustration and Fine Art degree.
Her career began as a freelance illustrator in the U.S undertaking commissions for the San Diego Union newspaper, several magazines and children books, During her time in France, the U.S. and Canada she enjoyed both solo and group exhibitions in various galleries. While living in the wine producing Okanagan she was often invited to show her work in the local wineries, the results not only gave her subject matter for her art, but also a taste for fine wine!
Since returning to the U.K. Wendy has extended her work by producing humorous greeting cards. She is
planning to reprint her three children’s illustrated story books and her 52 page full colour take on the fun side of women’s lives, “For the Love of Real Women”
ARTWORK
Most of Wendy’s work arises from her observation of people and their idiosyncrasies.
This gives her conceptual art a detailed , humorous slant on life, whether using oils, watercolour or mixed media. Much of her work is also available as giclee prints and greeting cards.
