I also like the texture of things like crisply folded paper and the way dupion silk drapes. And then I work from there.

BEX COLLETT - ARTIST
Large canvas paintings inspired by the colour harmonies and contrasts of Salisbury Plain. Taken from long walks in the sun shards of copse woodlands to the grassy naturally luminous chalk tracks and the endless paradisiacal spectrum of wild flower valleys and other engaging chromatic offerings. Set to memory, they are recomposed and eventually abstracted on paper, board or canvases back in the studio, forming simplistic palette cells, provoking feelings of past wonder, curiosity and a wistful affection for well loved locations.
