INTRODUCING

We welcome One new artists to the first of our December event!

BEX COLLETT - ARTIST

Large canvas paintings inspired by the colour harmonies and contrasts of Salisbury Plain. Taken from long walks in the sun shards of copse woodlands to the grassy naturally luminous chalk tracks and the endless paradisiacal spectrum of wild flower valleys and other engaging chromatic offerings. Having been immersed in the Plains range of hues, these are set to memory, recomposed and eventually abstracted on paper, board or canvases back in the studio, forming simplistic palette cells, provoking feelings of past wonder, curiosity and a wistful affection for well loved locations.

CHRIS LOCK - PHOTOGRAPHER

I have been photographing Wiltshire and Dorset for the last fifteen years and still find great inspiration in the changing moods and colours of the landscape through the seasons. My work has appeared in a number of books and magazines, and 2021 will mark the tenth edition of my Wylye Valley Calendar, which supports the Wiltshire based charity Hope and Homes for Children.

ALISON ARCHER - ARTIST

I collect all sorts of bits and pieces that I usually - eventually - manage to use in my work. My horde ranges from feathers and photos of quirky birds, dried seed heads, old electronics, bits of material and buttons, to images of drain pipes, chimney pots, and sun on a church floor. I also like the texture of things like crisply folded paper and the way dupion silk drapes. And then I work from there.

FIONA FORBES - ARTIST

Vibrant, colourful and uplifting paintings are my speciality. I paint in all media. I studied Decorative Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. My subjects are varied, mostly derived from nature and the outdoors 'Plein air' painting in watercolours give me plenty of subjects to develop in my studio into oils and acrylics using a palette knife to produce loose, impressionist work. Living in different counties and mixing with other cultures and nationalities has moulded my style and outlook on life as well as my creativity. I have lived in Wiltshire since 2009.
