 Start up Business Award Shortlisted		  

SALISBURY & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & SALISBURY BID  

It was a huge surprise when Salisbury Arts Scene was selected as a finalist for a

SALISBURY BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARD 

And then fantastic news to be shortlisted for the

START UP BUSINESS of the YEAR AWARD 2023! 

It was good to meet other business owners and the sponsors at the awards evening,

which was held on Friday 31st March at The Bibury Suite, Salisbury Racecourse  

and Arts Scene would like to congratulate all this year's winners.

Onwards and upwards!!  :o)

 

BRINING ART TO THE HEART OF OUR CITY 


Once a month the heart of Salisbury comes alive with art!

Artists from the city and surrounding area set up their ‘gallery’ for the day to display their artwork, chat to interested visitors and sell direct to their customers.

The events started in July 2020 during lockdown to provide an opportunity for artists, makers and musicians to showcase their skills and provide residents
and visitors to our city with an exciting arts event held outside. 

Since September 2020 the events have been held in the beautiful Market Square in the heart of the city on the first Sunday of each month from March to
December.

There is nothing better than seeing art in the flesh… being able to stand back and view art, walk round sculptures, pick up pottery and a wide variety of crafts
is all part of the experience.

The creators of the art on display are all there in person to provide the back story to each art piece they have created, making both the viewing and buying process a more enjoyable experience. 

October 2020 saw the opening of the first Arts Scene exhibition. The exhibitions provide another platform for artist to showcase their work at various locations,   art trails and open studios.

Together the events and exhibitions bring an amazing display of quality, contemporary art and a welcome buzz to our city for everyone to enjoy. 

Whether you’re an artist, maker or lover of art, a warm welcome awaits you at Salisbury Arts Scene.
